TimeKeeper: Lost Voice
The concept of time is not the everlasting march most believe it to be. Where effect may birth the cause, the result may change the past. In order to preserve the chronological collapse of the world and its history, the Timekeepers — an organization that blurs the boundary of past, future, and present — exist to protect time itself from unwanted anomalies. Arlo is one of the few who discovered their existence during his search for a cure to his older brother’s disease. In order to find the answer he’s been searching for, he looks to the Timekeepers. After all, it is said that time is the greatest healer.

Idea
Set in a futuristic dystopia, blending Cyber and Steampunk themes, this book combines mystery and action, targeting a 13+ audience with its serious tone and complex themes.

Cybernetic Arm

The key to pass through time.
This item connects to the Cybernetic Arm.
Allows user to pick destination, time period, and host.
Modified Masks
Allows characters go to the past without disturbing time.
This item enables characters to inherit a person from the past. The mask are inspired by theater masks since the Timekeepers have to act like the inherited host in order to keep time from changing.
These masks stood out since they resembled a better face shape while still resembling a theater mask.
Concept Sketch
While creating these sketches, it was important to keep in mind the theme of the book. The cover needed to have some clarity to the importance of the items while giving some sort of dramatic perspective in storytelling.
These sketches conveyed a dark mysterious aspect to the design of the book but was lacking in clarity.
This concept has storytelling elements while giving a few hints to what the book would hold but it lacks the importance of the three important items.
This sketch works well to portray the futuristic aspect of the world and how the characters could dress. What this concept lacked was the composition focus meaning that it didn’t seem to focus on the items themselves.
The most successful sketch direction created a dynamic and mysterious look while still giving the main items the focus it needs.
The arm is holding the watch since those items needs to be used together. The book represents the knowledge the user will gain if they wear the mask.

To convey a serious mood, dark blue background was chosen while involving focused light into the piece using yellow and white.
The main color of the book is dark blue since the whole world is sad and grim. The spotlight represents hope and gives importance to the items in the light.

Typography
Kepler has an Classic style that resembles the roman numerals on a clock. The typeface creates an elegant and conservitive vibe to the book
